John R. Davis

Status: Looking for family

John R. Davis was the eldest child - and only son - of Charles Davis and Hannah Slingluff. John and his siblings were born and raised in Lower Providence Township in Montgomery Co., PA. There wasn’t much to share about the life of his mother and father, and, similarly, I regret to inform you that John also lived a relatively uneventful life, at least in the eyes of a genealogist.

John married Margaret O’Brien in 1891 in Norristown, PA and together they had a son, Maurice. John worked as a clerk at an iron manufacturer and… well, that’s really all there is to say about John Davis. John died in 1928 and is buried at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Oaks, PA.

Maurice Davis married Kathryn Hoover and died in 1962. He is buried at Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery in Port Matilda, PA.
