T.D. Wolbach

T.D. Wolbach was a well-known and respected man in his hometown of Wadsworth, OH. Before he became a photographer, Theodore served in the 16th Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War, and authored a book - “Camp and Field” - about his experiences. Following the Civil War he became Captain of Company H of the 8th Regiment of the Ohio National Guard. He eventually became a well-known photographer in Wadsworth, creating portraits, photographs of businesses, and documenting soldiers’ reunions. He also served as the Wadsworth mayor!

Theodore also had an affinity for archaeology, and was in communication with a professor at Oberlin College regarding a paleolith he had found: a paleolith that Professor Wright said was the finest paleolith that had ever been discovered.
