Abernethy
William Abernethy started his photography business in 1885 at 29 High Street in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
In 1900, he was lucky to receive a royal appointment, photographing Queen Victoria during her visit to Dublin. Following this, he began using the Royal Warrant seal on his cabinet cards. Cards with his prior logo, as pictured below, suggest the photo would have been taken prior to 1900.
Abernethy also operated studios across County Down.
William James Boucher was born in 1844 in Scotland and lived in Belfast until his death in 1894.
